Hi All Myself i would say i use Size 10 or 8 for Boilies or Pellets Size 6 Straight on the hook for the old Spam And on real cold day and Still-waters Barbel Fishing a Red 26 with Blood worm or Joker.

I have some size 14 in Drennan barbel hooks and some Pallatrax in the smallest size they do which i think is also a 14 - both good hooks and have had doubles on both of them.
